Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly meme hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along!
All you have to do:
- Grab your current read.
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) 'teaser' sentences from that page.
- Be careful... do not include spoilers!!! Make sure that what you are sharing doesn't give too much away; you don't want to ruin the book for others.
- Share the title and author, too, so other Teaser Tuesday participants can add it to their TBR list if they like what you shared.
"Hope - you think of hope as a bright thing, a strong thing, sustaining. But it's not. It's the opposite. It's simply this: lumps of stale bread stuck down your shirt. stale grey bread eked out with ground fish bones, which you won't eat because you're going to give it away, and maybe you'll get a message through to your friend. That's all you need."
~ Rose Under Fire by Elizabeth Wein
That doesn't like hope.

I have a feeling this book will probably make me cry. I definitely need to get on reading this one. Loved Code Name Verity! Thanks for sharing & stopping by Bookmunchies (:
ReplyDeleteIt's a great follow up... I finished it last nite. ;)
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
This is an intense teaser! It sort of reminds me of Pandora's Box. Hope was left at the bottom, but it's up to each individual whether they believe it's a curse or a gift. Thanks for stopping by my Teaser :)
ReplyDeleteIt's a pretty intense book all around. I great read, though.
