Wishlist Wednesday is a meme hosted by Pen to Paper where you post a book that has been on your wishlist for some time, or just added (it's entirely up to you), that you can't wait to get off the wishlist and onto your wonderful shelves.

How do you join in?

This week's choice...

I Wanna Be Your Joey Ramone
I loved Ballads of Suburbia, her second novel. Despite the fact that Malissa (my best friend and the one who recommends tons of books to me and is usually spot on) didn't enjoy this one as much as Ballads, I still want it. ☺

~Goodreads Summary~
A raw, edgy, emotional novel about growing up punk and living to tell.

The Clash. Social Distortion. Dead Kennedys. Patti Smith. The Ramones. Punk rock is in Emily Black's blood. Her mother, Louisa, hit the road to follow the incendiary music scene when Emily was four months old and never came back. Now Emily's all grown up with a punk band of her own, determined to find the tune that will bring her mother home. Because if Louisa really is following the music, shouldn't it lead her right back to Emily?

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine that highlights upcoming releases we're excited about.

Just One Day (Just One Day, #1)
Just One Day by Gayle Forman
Expected Publication: January 8, 2013

~Goodreads Summary~
A breathtaking journey toward self-discovery and true love, from the author of If I Stay
When sheltered American good girl Allyson "LuLu" Healey first meets laid-back Dutch actor Willem De Ruiter at an underground performance of Twelfth Night in England, there’s an undeniable spark. After just one day together, that spark bursts into a flame, or so it seems to Allyson, until the following morning, when she wakes up after a whirlwind day in Paris to discover that Willem has left. Over the next year, Allyson embarks on a journey to come to terms with the narrow confines of her life, and through Shakespeare, travel, and a quest for her almost-true-love, to break free of those confines.

Just One Day is the first in a sweepingly romantic duet of novels. Willem’s story—Just One Year—is coming soon!

What books are you looking forward to coming out? What books are you wishing would mysteriously appear in your hands?  :)  Leave a comment sharing your choices or a link to your own post.

Have a great day...

Smiles,
B

  4. I didn't realize that Just One Day was going to have a sequel. Oddly enough, that makes me more interested in the book for some reason.

Thanks for stopping by Book Sojourner.

  5. Just finished Just One Day and it's SO good. Loved it.

And I've been meaning to read Ballads of Suburbia. I did a blog feature a while back on YA books set in the 90s, and someone recommended I add that book.

Thanks for checking out my WoW!
