OK. Unusually for me, I'm reading 4 books right now (one is taking priority, but 4 are started). They are
ReplyDeleteTHE MYSTERY BOOK!!! - I actually have no idea what it is yet despite being about 1/3 of the way through. It's kind of maddening. And really cool. It's newer (I'm thinking), written by a woman, I'd call it post apocalyptic though don't know if one catastrophic event caused the "issues" or a slow decline, has definite dystopian elements, and is written in a cool and unusual stream of consciousness (almost journal-like but not quite) way.
The Return of the Dapper Men - A graphic novel I bought on Free Comic Book Day and had signed. Started it but set it aside for the moment when it was time to start the mystery book.
Heart Shaped Box by Joe Hill - I could have sworn (for some totally inaccurate reason) that this was a collection of stories which I started away from home the other day and only had my phone (kindle app) with me. I'm about 1/3 through this creepy ghost story as well, but it got back burnered for the mystery book too.
The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding - A long term read (at nearly 600 pages) that I grab along with and between other books. Seems to be my pattern with pregnancy related books lately. Go figure ...
Recently finished: Doll Bones by Holly Black (a fast little J level ghost story)
Next: Either The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey OR Days of Blood and Starlight by Laini Taylor
Do Days and we can read it together. :)
DeleteWe SUCK at reading things together, lol. If you're ready when I am (which seems likely as I've got so many going ...) then we can try ;) I *do* want to do The 5th Wave soon, though, and my coworker is waiting on me so she can have it next.
ReplyDeleteWe do, don't we? *tsk* *tsk*
DeleteLove your list. I really need to get the Divergent books read. My daughter has been bugging me to read it.
ReplyDeleteHere's my WWW.
You really should. But with Allegiant being not too far from released I would wait a little while longer so you don't have too much of a gap between Insurgent and Allegiant. :) Just a suggestion... ;)
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
I love the covers for Shiver and Insurgent. Great list! Thanks for stopping by my TTT!
