Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week they provide a Top Ten topic for you to create your list, then you share it on their post so others can find you. :)
♥ Top Ten Books When You Need Something Light & Fun ♥
Light & fun reads should be a staple of every one's reading diet. Really. As much as I love the serious, dramatic type books, I do really enjoy light and fun books as well. (However, looking at my Goodreads 'read' list, one would think I don't. It took me a while to come up with enough for some reason. Maybe I scroll too fast. lol) They are a nice breather when you don't want to feel so heavy or like your heart was ripped to tiny little shreds in the process of reading. :)
Dash & Lily's Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn & David Levithan
Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist by Rachel Cohn & David Levithan
Let it Snow by John Green, Maureen Johnson, & Lauren Myracle
What Happened to Goodbye by Sarah Dessen
The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick
The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks by E. Lockhart
Heist Society by Ally Carter
So B. It by Sarah Weeks
Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson
Children Make Terrible Pets by Peter Brown
(I know this is a picture book, but I find it super adorable and it always makes me chuckle and feel good.)
What about you? What books do you recommend for a lighter or a fun read?
Smiles,
B

Heist Society almost made my list but it was not my favorite, I like the Gallagher Girls series a bit more. Book #6 though, I keep reading good things about.

I've wanted to read that series for some time, but haven't gotten my hands on copies of it yet! :( Some day, though. Sooner rather than later, I hope. :)
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
I have the Heist Society on my list, too, and The Disreputable History is one of my all-time favorite books. Great list!

Ow the Invention of Hugo Cabret could be on my list too. I read it last week for the first time and it is very pretty :D
ReplyDeleteI think I spent more time looking at the illustrations than it actually took me to read the dang thing. lol
DeleteI put The Disreputable History on my list as well :) But I totally forgot about Heist Society! I keep seeing this on everyone's list, which only makes me want to reread it even more! :D Awesome list!
ReplyDeleteThat's the fun of these lists, isn't it? :)
DeleteGreat list! Sarah Dessen made mine too(:

I think Sarah Dessen is a great go-to for a lighter read. Even though she may deal with some more serious issues, is not a heavy read. :)
