Happy Follow Friday!

This week's question/activity:

Q: Give us a sneak! What are you reading? Tell us about a fun or fail scene in your current read.

Insurgent (Divergent, #2)I am currently reading Insurgent by Veronica Roth. So far, I've not come across anything that's a fail. A major win, maybe not fun so much, for me is the realistic aspects that are ingrained in the story. For example, a gunshot wound that doesn't heal or not hurt in a day (it's been a few weeks and it's still affecting her). I love that. How many times have I read or watched something where a major wound didn't seem to cause any issues with fighting, moving, or anything. I understand that you sometimes just have to work through it, but still. Kudos to that.

What about you?

Smiles,
B

    1. I would wait until October now. The last of the trilogy comes out then. I am already wishing I had waited so I wouldn't have the agony of any space between book 2 and 3. lol

  3. I love this series, and I agree, that a gunshot wound actually hurt for a while was kind of refreshing! I can't wait for Allegiant to come out :)

Old follower, here's my FF post for this week.

  4. New follower!

I also enjoy when books deal with wounds and injuries in a real way.

    1. If I were you I'd wait until Allegiant comes out. I haven't gotten to the end of Insurgent yet, but I can only imagine, given previous experience with trilogies, that it'll end on a cliffhanger. :)

  9. There is something great about reading books back to back. I had to listen to Divergent on audio to refresh my memory for Insurgent. I'll probably do the same thing again for Allegiant :)

    1. I know... I will most likely need to refresh my memory a bit when Allegiant comes out. When Requiem (Delirium series) came out, I read the most spoilery reviews I could find, then I skimmed the last 1/4 of it. lol

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  10. I also love when books are realistic! No matter how well-written, if it doesn't make sense it won't be good.
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! New follower:)
