What happens when happily ever after... isn’t?
Delilah is a bit of a loner who prefers spending her time in the school library with her head in a book—one book in particular. Between the Lines may be a fairy tale, but it feels real. Prince Oliver is brave, adventurous, and loving. He really speaks to Delilah.
And then one day Oliver actually speaks to her. Turns out, Oliver is more than a one-dimensional storybook prince. He’s a restless teen who feels trapped by his literary existence and hates that his entire life is predetermined. He’s sure there’s more for him out there in the real world, and Delilah might just be his key to freedom.
Delilah and Oliver work together to attempt to get Oliver out of his book, a challenging task that forces them to examine their perceptions of fate, the world, and their places in it. And as their attraction to each other grows along the way, a romance blossoms that is anything but a fairy tale.

I have been a Jodi Picoult fan for many years and own probably 2/3 of her books. I haven't gotten this one yet, nor read it. I think I needed a break from her for a bit (some of her topics... okay, most of them... are a bit on the heavy side as of late) but I love the idea that she wrote a book with her daughter and really want to read this one. :)
What about you all? What's on your wishlist?
Smiles,
B

ReplyDeleteI still have to read something by Jodi Picoult - I've bought The Pact, tough - but the cover of this book really makes me curious!

Thanks... I hope so too. And thanks for visiting! ;)
DeleteI had no idea that she wrote this kind of book, I always thought she was more of a realistic fiction author so this is surprising.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a really interesting read though. Thank you for stopping by!
She is a realistic fiction author, but veered off with this one. :) Thanks for visiting.

Thanks!
DeleteI'll be interested in hearing how you like this one. I read a lot of Jodi Picoult at one point (loved The Pact), but got a little burnt out after a while. This looks cute, though, and I like that she wrote it with her daughter. Enjoy!
